TX FAME is the Texas Chapter of the FAME USA advanced manufacturing program. Through this hands-on educational program we are able to create pathways to STEM careers for students while also creating an ecosystem of collaboration with our partnered employers that continues to grow the advanced manufacturing industry.
TX FAME offers two programs to help you find your place within the advanced manufacturing industry. Between a traditional two year program through Alamo Colleges and a fast paced 10 week boot camp, there is an opportunity for anyone.
Earn an Associate of Applied Science in Advanced Manufacturing Technology through St. Philip’s College while working for one of our partnered companies. With two days a week on campus and three days at the sponsoring company, participants receive an intensive and in depth apprenticeship.
Within ten weeks you will train for an entry-level multi-skilled maintenance technician career. Utilizing the Scientific Management Techniques, Inc. (SMT), the FAST technical training curriculum is based on the demand and skills TX FAME companies have identified for this role.
TX FAME is part of a nationwide initiative to build up workforce development and provide strong technical training programs to build up the future of the modern manufacturing industry. TX FAME is centered around the community to help bring this growth locally.
Becoming a sponsored company opens a doorway to a multitude of benefits! Sponsored companies serve on the TX FAME board, access to the talent pool of highly skilled apprentices that have completed our program, as well shape the identity of the advanced manufacturing industry within Texas.
